Pan Pacs Day 2, 4×200

This morning I swam the 100 free in prelims and it went alright.  Since I haven’t ever trained for that event, I wasn’t expecting much.  Tonight is the big race of the day for me, the 4×200.  We’re definitely the favorites so hopefully we can hold onto the win.  I still remember pretty vividly, the 4×200 from Pan Pacs 4 years ago.  Back then, we were still chasing the world record and high-tech body suits weren’t on anyone’s mind.  I’m hoping tonight we can blast the Pan Pac record, which will indicate how far we’ve come without the help of bodysuits.  It is the last event tonight so I definitely won’t be able to write anything later.

So my vitamins are running out, which means this trip is almost done.  Granted, the competition is only half-way completed, I feel like I have been out here for a long time.  It’s been fun for sure, but part of me is ready to go home.  Not before I finish this competition strongly though.  Tomorrow I have the 400 and Saturday is the 800, both of which I am really looking forward to.   One thing is for sure, I’m gonna have a lot of laundry to do when I get home.
